The main issue for this client was a large scale project in the Middle East in year 3 of 7 which was potentially off track. This we found was due mostly to a lack of a project management systems and poor management of the subcontractors. Furthermore the risk of incurring late delivery penalties was very high.
Objectives
To install a project management operating system. This is often mistaken for investing heavily in a project management IT solution. This is very rarely the entire solution!Lausanne Consulting looked at eh processes behind current system, and agreed with our client a new way of working. This would involved the creations of a central project team based in 2 locations in Europe and 1 in the Middle East
Benefits
With the commitment of our client, the PMOS(Project Management Operating System) successfully developed and was installed with the central project management team. The result of which was improved clarity on the work packages and the project was delivered on time and in full. But also a continually improving and "owned" project.
