Issues
Our client had launched a multi year programme to construct a new commercial satellite. The project was a massive undertaking involving many subcontractors and multiples sites issue. In addition this internal project was utilisiing emerging technologies on a much grander scale than had ever been attempted. As a result the project moved off schedule, resource management was an issue & subcontractor costs went over budget. Project management was the key issue in this scenario.
Objectives
The primary objective was to put the programme on track, and most importantly ensure that it would stay on track. In partnership with the Lausanne Academy we would train /coach the project managers. And in addition we aimed to reduce the purchasing/subcontract costs.
