The role: The Lausanne Consulting Group is set to pursue an aggressive growth strategy and is looking to seize market share rapidly. In order to drive this growth Lausanne Consulting requires the expertise of a first-class Group Business Development Director, to lead a team of international Account Executives.
Reporting to the Group Chief Executive Officer the Group Business Development Director will capitalise on the market strengths and unique commercial offering of the Lausanne Consulting Group by designing and implementing a profitable strategy which meets the needs of the ambitious growth targets.
He/she is responsible for developing, managing and ensuring quality of all group and unit commercial activities, in form of guidance, mentoring and training with the Business Unit Presidents and Account Executives.
Key accountabilities are:
- Engage at the most senior levels with key clients, in order to create awareness and preference for the Lausanne Consulting proposition.
- Work with the CEO on the development of new territories and marketplaces in line with the company's strategic direction.
- Design and implement an effective set of sales processes and reporting systems which enable progress and success.
- Set commission based targets for an international team of senior level Account Executives.
- Lead the sales team from the front across major opportunities, providing coaching, mentoring and encouragement where required.
- Build up and manage a high calibre network of advisors to the business.
- Consult the Business Units on creating marketing and sales campaigns which identify and develop key opportunities in the marketplace.
The profile:
You are a strong, entrepreneurial individual with,
- The ideas, the vision and the ambition to rise to these challenges
- A proven track record in international market development, preferably in the implementation consulting environment
- A minimum of ten years commercial experience gained in strategic, product or ideally a service product environment
- A minimum of 5 years board room level relationship building, influencing and negotiating on an international level
- Excellent interpersonal skills displayed with a natural gravitas and an ability to establish credibility quickly with senior executive level contacts
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong coaching, mentoring and management skills
- You are fluent in at least 2 major European languages
